types of intelligences

There are 7 types of intelligences according to the Howard Gardner's Theory of Intelligences. They are Bodily Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Verbal Intelligence, Logical intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Visual Intelligence and Musical Intelligence.

Bodily Intelligence is to do with movement. People with this type of intelligence learn better if they move around while learning.

Interpersonal Intelligence is to do with communicating with other people and being able to sense other people's moods and feelings. People with this intelligence tend to work well with other people. They often will enjoy debates and discussion.

Verbal Intelligence is to do with words both spoken and written. People with this type of intelligence typically speak, read or write better. people with this type of intelligence learn better by reading or taking notes.

Logical Intelligence is to do with puzzles, reasoning and numbers. People with this type of intelligence are able to recognise patterns perform complex calculations more quickly than others.

Intrapersonal Intelligence is to do with reflecting capabilities. They are able to understand their own emotions and feelings.

Visual Intelligence is to do with visual and spatial judgement. They are very good at visualing an object. they are often artiscally inclined. They also have very good hand-eye coordination.

Musical Intelligence is to do with rhythm and music. They are sensitive to rhythm, sound and tones. They normally have good pitch.
